Error in JMS BizDriver 11 Years, 1 Month ago Karma: 1
Hi,

I am trying to use Xaware 5.1 with ActiveMQ. I have been trying to create a JMS Sender BizComponent. I am getting the following error when I try to connect execute the bizcomponent

Error in executing BizComponent [SendJmsBizComp.xbc]: Failed to resolve either UserTransaction or TransactionManager for JNDI channel.

I have attached the BizDriver file.

Please Help!!

Just something to try until I, or someone else, can look further into this. Try removing altogether the transaction elements (<xa:userTransactionLookupName/> and <xa:transactionManagerLookupName/>).

If that still does not work try setting the value of xa:userTransactionLookupName to "UserTransaction" - without the quotes. Leave the xa:transactionManagerLookupName removed.

Hi Tim,

I am also facing the same issue. I tried setting the value as well but the error log is sumthing like:

"Error in executing BizComponent [BizComp1.xbc]: Failed to resolve either UserTransaction or TransactionManager for JNDI channel."

I am using the following context factory to get initial context:
com.ibm.mq.jms.context.WMQInitialContextFactory

and url as

localhost:1414/SYSTEM.DEF.SVRCONN

is there any way to disable the transaction behavior (User Transaction or Transaction Manager).

hi tim,

one more thing, after setting the value of xa:userTransactionLookupName=UserTransaction

then error thrown is:

Error in executing BizComponent [MQJMSTest.xbc]: JTA UserTransaction is not available at JNDI location [UserTransaction]

can you please help me out to resolve this issue.

thanks in advance.

Were you able to get this working? (I noticed that some folks in your group seemed to have some requests working).

I think the name "UserTransaction" is a non-standard JNDI location allowed and used in JBoss, but not all other app servers. I am not as familiar with WebLogic, but it looked like you might need to use the name "javax.transaction.UserTransaction". (This may require additional configuration for the JTA transaction support.)

I do see in our code where the indicated error messages are generated, and that code is requiring a valid name. (Whether the name should be required, or if it thinks its needs a transaction when it shouldn't - I will have to check with an Engineer later).

Hi,

I am still facing the same issue. can you please guide me in disabling the transaction itself.

Actually, we are trying to use the file system binding and MQ server binding using the following context factories:

com.sun.jndi.fscontext.RefFSContextFactory

and

com.ibm.mq.jms.context.WMQInitialContextFactory

The provider URL are:

PROVIDER_URL=file:///c:/JNDI-Directory
PROVIDER_URL=localhost:1414/SYSTEM.DEF.SVRCONN

but none of them is working and end with following exception:

<xa:bizcomp_result_wrapper xmlns:xa="http://xaware.org/xas/ns1">
<Error>
<detail>Error in executing BizComponent [sendJmsMsgIdXml.xbc]: Failed to resolve either UserTransaction or TransactionManager for JNDI channel.</detail>
</Error>
</xa:bizcomp_result_wrapper>

PFA - the JMS Driver

Thanks a lot.

Regards,
Rajesh
