XAware allows you to build components that read from one source and write (insert/update) into another source. However, it doesn't have a specific component or built-in feature to detect field-level database changes.

You would need to design a way of detecting and extracting the changes to send to the other system. We have implemented synchronization systems for customers by using database triggers on a subset of field, or by polling for specific data - and then querying for the related fields and tables, building an XML result and then either sending that XML transaction to the other system (web services) or processing it to insert/update data in the target system. This was not on the scale of full replication or for detecting every field change. It may be possible to do so, but you would have to look at the performance impact to the primary system (or implement as a batch synchronization at off-peak hours vs. real-time transactional synchronization depending on your requirements). We also looked at solutions to read transaction logs to detect and send only changed data elements (or records with changes.) It is also a more difficult issue if you require two-way synchronization with (concurrent) updates allowed to either side, considering issues such as primary/secondary source, circular updates, failed/lost updates, and other error scenarios.

You might also look at database vendor solutions specifically designed for data synchronization (transactional synchronization where the targets may be multiple, smaller databases with private and shared data) or full replication (complete matching dataset maintained in multiple locations for high availability and performance).
